Dr Ruby Dhalla Is Awarded ‘Outstanding Woman Hotelier of the Year Award 2024‘ by The World’s Largest Hotel Association AAHOA, Continuing Her Legacy To Championing Women!
The award recognizes a woman hotelier for strong leadership and a commitment to lodging excellence, significant contributions to the industry and to her community. The award applauds Dr. Ruby’s remarkable achievements and contributions in her short time in the hospitality industry. While Dr. Ruby entered into the industry due to a tragedy with the sudden passing of her brother Dr. Neil Dhalla and assumed her brother’s responsibilities in the hospitality arena, she has worked tirelessly since then to lead, build and grow her team and company with the creation of a hotel fund and strategic hotel acquisitions in the US and UAE markets.
“I am truly humbled and honored to receive the Woman Hotelier of the Year Award. I dedicate this award to my brother, Dr. Neil Dhalla who’s life philosophy was ‘Ask for it. Believe it. Receive it.’ I am full of gratitude to my mother for being the pillar of strength as we navigate life without my brother, to my team for their passion, drive and determination and to the many fellow hoteliers who have supported me with their time, advice and words of wisdom. I am eager to lead the Dhalla Group of Companies to new heights, embarking on a path of hotel acquisitions and innovative ventures in the hotel arena that incorporate technology and AI for improved results and enhanced guest experiences. I congratulate the AAHOA leadership for championing women through the #HerOwnership initiative and for the platform they have created.
